How To Prepare For Hip Replacement Surgery
The primary step in hip replacement surgery is discussing it with your doctor. You will likely need to have a complete routine physical examination to assure that your blood pressure and sugar are under control. If you smoke, cut down on it. Make sure that you aren’t in the middle of any dental work that may cause some infection. Also you may need to give some of your blood to use in case there is a need for a blood transplant during your hip replacement surgery. If you do not want to give blood, then the doctor can order the blood from a blood bank.
