When I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) I thought I was doomed from eating my favorite foods, because it seemed that everything I touched lead to many bathroom visits. But through trial and error and a little research I’ve learned that this doesn’t have to be. I have found that I don’t have to always eat salad or a super strict diet. I can eat out if I want or eat in. My irritable bowel diet consists mainly of my favorite foods, keeping in mind that there are a few trigger foods that cause me problems, mainly excessive caffeine and fat. But, as long as I’m aware and make wise decisions, I don’t have to let my restroom visits get in the way of my eating!
