How do I know how much exercise I am getting?

I’m such a perfectionist sometimes. I freak out because I can’t measure how much exercise I do, how many calories I burn and such when I do certain activities, like cleaning my home or walking or such. How am I supposed to know how much I’m supposed to eat (with the additional amount I need when I exercise), if I can’t measure the amount of exercise I am doing? How can I lose weight sucessfully? This is really exasperating me.

How can I be motivated to exercise despite depression?

What is this exercise machine called and where can I find one?

Is there any such thing as an exercise machine where it’s the pedals of a bicycle and that’s all? I want to exercise by biking, but I don’t want to use an actual bike and I don’t want a stationary bike. Do they make the bike pedals so you can pedal in an ordinary chair? Does one even exist? If so, what’s it called.

Chronic Diverticular Concerns

An estimated 30 million Americans have diverticulitis flare up. At least 200,000 of these persons are hospitalized each year because of this disease–at an annual cost of approximately $ 300 million. Persons younger than age 40 are rarely affected. The prevalence among those in their 50s is about 5%; nearly half of all those in their 90s are affected.

Interestingly, just before the beginning of this century, the presence of colonic diverticula in members of industrialized western populations was considered a pathologic curiosity. The continuing increase in the prevalence of this disorder seems to correspond to the introduction around 1880 of the roller milling of wheat. In other words, before processes were developed for the refining of flour and sugar (eg, the removal of fiber), diverticulosis was an infrequent occurrence, even among persons in western societies, and its frequency remains low today among populations (in the Orient and in Africa, for example) who consume a high-fiber diet.

If you exercise in the morning, should you eat before you work out?

I wake up every morning at 8 to exercise. Should I eat something before I workout? If so how long should I wait after eating to exercise? I don’t really have time in the morning so Im planning on just waking up and working out on a empty stomach.
