My mother was complaining of backache from several days. I applied creams and ointments on her back, but that gave a temporary relief to her. I also tried hot water bottle to give warming effects, but that didn’t help either. Finally, I took her to our family doctor to take his opinion. He did some X-rays and confirmed that my mother has developed a Degenerative Spine. He prescribed rest and asked her to do some simple exercises, so that it can give some relief to her. It begins with the stiffness and tingling in the spine and later carried on to cause severe pain in the affected area. Actually, it is one of the most misinterpreted diseases which is nothing but an indication of changes that occur in the spine with age.
