How I Learned About Acne Rosacea Treatments
When I took my son to the doctor last week for a sunburn that just wouldn’t go away, I was shocked to find out that he had an untreatable skin condition called rosacea. Apparently rosacea happens when the blood vessels close to the skin dilate. I thought he just had sensitive skin and was afraid he had an allergy to the sun or something. I’m not sure which is worse, an allergy to something that would really suck, or an untreatable condition that just looks bad.
The doctor also told me that my son’s acne may have something to do with the rosacea and discussed acne rosacea treatments with us. We decided to try a mild antibiotic topical ointment and see if that worked. I’m glad I took him to the doctor or we may have never known.
