Problem with controlling removal of contact lens

I just started wearing black contact lens about a week ago. The first pair I had was okay. The next pair they tried on me were way too flimsy and I couldn't control them (get them in and out). So they gave me a third pair to try. Last night, I got home and tried to take them out. I couldn't get them out so I started panicking but I just took a break and went back to it about 10 minutes later. I got the left one out but couldn't get the right one out. Took another break. I re-wet them thinking that would make it easier. I started getting frustrated and, in hindsight, started poking, prodding and pushing too hard trying to get it out. I did a search on the internet and found this forum. I found a post that said "if it's that hard to get out, odds are the contact lens isn't even in there." Sure enough … I resigned myself to that fact at that point but since I had been poking, prodding and pushing on my eyeball for so long, it feels incredibly sore and bruised today. Did I do any kind of permanent damage to the eye? I hope they'll let me go back to the ones I had the first week. *sigh*
