A High Fat Diet Increases Risk Of Disease Of The Eye!
If someone asked you to evaluate your diet for fat content, what do you think the percentage of fat in your daily diet would average out to? It may be a very scary thought for some people. Did you know that a high fat diet can increase your risk for developing a disease of the eye called macular degeneration? Only twenty to twenty five percent of your daily food energy should be derived from fat. If you want to decrease your fat intake, choose fish and lean poultry over red meat. Also, swap out whole milk and cheeses for low fat or skim products.
