What exercise can burn the most calories?

exercise
Ashley K asked:

Okay, I dont mind the work out, its just that I need to make up an exercise plan to burn more than 2000 calories a day. Is that possible? Anyways, does anyone think that they can give me a plan for a week?
Also some advice on food would help. Such as I only really need to consume around 1000 calories a day. Any advice on what I should eat? -Yes, I know I’m putting my health in danger but its really only temporary. Just need to keep it up for around 4 days.
Thanks!

Teresa

2000 a day is ALOT. cross trainers burn alot of calories.they burn like 3-5 hundred an hour but youd have to use them for lot of hours a day.

running burns the most calories, but burning 2000 calories a day is not a realistic goal. check out this calcultor to see how many calories you can burn

I know running and jumping rope burns LOTS of calories. You can also check out workout forums or fitness websites like Shape.com; Fitnessmagazine.com and oxygenmagazine. You can also check out VideoFitness.com. They have forums where people discuss all kinds of exercises and give helpful hints about weight loss. The other sites mentioned above do that stuff as well.

Oh yeah make sure you are drinking plenty of water. That helps a lot too.

Running burns a lot of calories; in fact, I believe it burns the most out of all cardio activities. However, consuming 1000 calories/day with the intent to burn off 2000 calories/day simply cannot be done. It’s highly unrealistic.

Swimming benefits almost every part of your body.. Jogging too! Keep those vegetables and friuts close everytime! Exercise is best after breakfast and before dinner!

2000 is not impossible but impractical because you would have to workout 3-4 hours or more to get 200 calories

Burning calories is not dependent on the exercise - go here and skim these 2 sources real quick to answer your question:

and unless you already 100 lbs you probably need to consume more than a 1000 calories

to end all your confusion I would pick up this book here:

Do lots of Cardio, jogging at 5mph or more on a treadmill for a minimum of 20 minutes, then get to the elliptical for another 20 minutes and then hit the bike - stationary bike for another 20 minutes.
At this point you should’ve burned atleast 1,200 calories..
Stay active, do fun energetic things after, hit the clubs, do some dancing, that alone is proven to burn 500 calories an hour. stay away from alcohol cuz that contains alot of calories.
Eat in small portions atleast 5 times a day, eat lots of veggies and fruits. drink lots of water to keep hunger away also to keep you rejuvenated. Burn more calories than you take in.

    Good luck !

    2000 is unrealistic.

Running, stepper, and the recumbant bike are my favorites. Do a search on “interval training” on the internet. Doing cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach will burn the most fat since your glycogen stores are partially depleted from sleeping. ( I know guys are scared of doing this because they want to “preserve muscle”, but I always tell em who cares about “preserving muscle” when you can’t see the six pack). Eat frequent small meals. Starving is bad for you. Staying in shape is a lifestyle, not a temporary thing.
