Hearing Impaired Products & Hearing Impaired Smoke Detector
For people with hearing disabilities, it is imperative that they have hearing impaired products and hearing impaired smoke detector devices for safety purposes. Reports from the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) has suggested that most people who have died in tragic fires during sleeping time were not awakened by high-pitched smoke alarms. To prevent such disasters, people with mild to moderate hearing difficulties should have hearing impaired products and hearing impaired smoke detector systems using low frequency square wave signals to better hear alarms and act accordingly before it is too late. Coupled with flashing strobe lights, low frequency smoke alarms can ensure people are awakened during emergency cases.
