The Risk For Developing Psoriasis
People who have at least one family member with psoriasis are at great risk. In fact 35% of those who have this disorder have at least one family member who is affected with by the condition. The overall risk for people who have one family member with psoriasis is 4%, while those with two family members with the condition have a 28% chance of developing psoriasis.
Colder climates have an affect on the development of the disorder. Those who live in colder climates develop psoriasis earlier on life and more frequently than others. Caucasians seem to be more susceptible to developing it followed by African Americans and the Japanese.
